Hey there developer!
I accidentally made a comment about your missing (horizontal) news tab menu on your regular drop down menu comment page.
I still can't find your demo for the News Tab Menu for what it's worth.
I installed the module anyway based on another user's comment (mention of Yahoo menu tabs). I really like it! It was exactly what I was looking for.
If I may make a small suggestion: it would be nice if the active sub menu tab can be highlighted like the main menu tab. If it is already designed like this and somehow I'm not tweaking the css correctly, please let me know and forgive me.

Thanks again for sharing such a nice and simple module!

 Hello Rina,
I have upgraded the module, now with 3 levels, and you can highlight by active class the 3 level items.
You can see the demo in this page :)

 Hi,

I'm using your module on a new site (in development) and I like it a lot!
However, when activating cache in Joomla, the news tab menu gets cached also.
I tried adding the caching parameters in mod_newsmenu.xml

Use global
Cache always
Cache never

But this still doesn't solve it. The module still get's cached. Any help is much appreciated!

I love this module and use it on a few sites. I have one issue. Because it uses the main menu it uses the id="current" within the code. This is fine until I use the standard Joomla module on the same page. It again specifies the id="current" within its code, so the page does not validate as XHTML. Is there anyway to modify the id="current" tag within the Zaragoza module so it does not clash?

 I've actually fixed it myself!
within the default.php file on lines 49, 101 and 158 is the 'id' 'current' code. I amended the 'current' to be 'zaracurrent' and then modified the css so all #current became #zaracurrent and now the site validates with both the Zara menu and the standard Joomla menu module active on the page.

Hope that helps someone!

I'm pleasantly surprised with this menu - worked like a charm right from the start. The only thing that I'm missing is how to make the active item not clickable - in any level of the menu.

I just installed ver 3.1.0. - the "active not clickable" works great. Can't thank you enough - I'll put my vote for you at Joomla.
But - there is a problem with the custom CSS - when I select My own CSS I get error:
"Fatal error: Call to a member function addCustomTag() on a non-object in /home/apartmen/public_html/modules/mod_newsmenu/tmpl/default.php on line 195".
It's not a problem for me, because I've created a duplicet of blue.css and edit it directly, but...

 Hello!
I am using the tabs menu and I love it, but how can I call a single menu-item in the first level "nivel1"
They are all called parent (li class="parent") I'd like to style them individually though and then also the second level.
For example first-level-menuitem1 should be blue, all sub menu items of it should be blue too. first-level-menuitem2 should be red... I have tried it via the menu id's but cant get it to work,
I would be so happy if
